Former 68th District state Representative Brian J. Flaherty of Watertown, has been appointed to the Board of Governors of Higher Education. Brian, my predecessor as the state representative for Watertown, Oakville and Woodbury, had a distinguished record of service to our towns.
Budget forums being held by legislative Democrats around the state, including one held at the University of Connecticut’s Waterbury campus March 23rd, appear to be aimed more at laying the groundwork for major tax increases rather than providing unbiased information about alternative approaches to balancing the two-year budget, state Representative Sean Williams said today.

Rep. Sean Williams congratulates Josh Bartlett of Watertown after he was awarded the Eagle Scout Badge in a Court of Honor March 4th at the Union Congregational Church.
